Because the fire-affected zone is potentially more hazardous than other sites where we work, the crew leader may decide to cancel the work party the day before, based on weather conditions. We will not work in high winds, excessive rain, or potential ice events. Volunteers are advised to check their emails the night before in case there are unanticipated work party cancellations.
We will be hiking up the Larch Mt. trail switchbacks above Multnomah Falls, then from the Multnomah Falls Lodge to Return trail and up Wahkeena Falls. If you have questions or concerns about the hike, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
What to expect:
You should expect to work in a fire-affected zone over uneven terrain, with many obstacles to climb over and/or remove. A mandatory detailed safety discussion will be held before work begins.
What to bring:
Bring your lunch, snacks and plenty of water.
What to wear:
Directions to the worksite will be provided to registered volunteers no later than 48 hours prior to the work party date, along with any other necessary information.
