WORK DESCRIPTION: TRAIL REPAIR.
This section of the closed 400 trail due to the 2017 Columbia Gorge Fire. We will be repairing tread on the main trail. There are many rocks and tree debris to be moved from the tread for crew safety. We will meet at 8:15 AM in the parking lot for a safety and tool talk before beginning our project. We may be moving our cars to a new trailhead
We will be on the Trail 400 Trail in the Gorge, meeting at the John B Yeon Trailhead and then maybe car pooling to another area to begin our hike .The hike will be over uneven terrain and will not be more than 3 miles round trip. There is about 300′ elevation to climb to the project site. If you have questions or concerns about the hike, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
What to expect:
You should expect to hike and use a variety of different tools over uneven terrain, with the possibility of obstacles to climb over and/or remove. You will be on a trail in a closed area due to the Eagle Creek fire in 2017. A mandatory detailed safety discussion will be held before work begins. For safety reasons, we expect volunteers to stay for the duration of the trail party. Please do not expect to be able to arrive late or to leave early.

Take I-84 E/US-30 East to exit 35 from I-84 E/US-30 E. At the stop sign, make a left east then in 100 yds a right onto the Frontage Rd. Approx. 2.1 miles east, stop at the John B. Yeon trailhead parking. Don’t get back onto I-84.
