TKO Hydro School – Killin Wetlands

As part of TKO’s continuing effort to engage and support our volunteers, we are offering a half day workshop to explore how hydrology and trail design. This event will be a field class/guided hike only, we will be doing a site visit to review a trail system that went through the wringer over this winter. If time allows, we may switch gears and look at a potential new trail development at the site. Absolutely no prior trail work experience required!


Hiking information:


We will be hiking within approximately 1 mile from the trailhead, with very little elevation gain.


What to expect:


You should expect to participate in this work party for its entirety. For safety reasons, please to not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early.


What to bring:



  • Plenty of water

  • Snacks

  • We’ll be heading to McMenamins Grand Lodge Hotel for lunch directly after!


What to wear:



  • Boots (Tennis shoes not recommended)

  • Long sleeved shirts and pants.

  • Rain gear as appropriate for the weather
