We’re partway through a project to prop up a failing bridge with gabions that we’re building onsite. Unfortunately our rock hauler (tote) broke on day one of the project. We’re supposed to have another tote on-site on Monday, February 17, and Elaine and I need two additional people to help use it to take rock and gravel to the work site, about a quarter-mile from the parking lot.
This will be a half-day project, starting at noon. The rock needs to be in place for Tuesday’s trail party so we can complete the work at the bridge. (There are still open slots for Tuesday’s work party, too.)
Work will involve shoveling gravel or placing flat rock in the tote and driving it to the work site over muddy trail that has some hills.
Note: This trail party may get cancelled if we can’t get a tote to McIver before noon on Monday.
What to wear: Boots (tennis shoes are not allowed). Due to the wet conditions in the creek bed, rubber boots are permitted.
Long sleeved shirts recommended
Rain gear as appropriate for the weather
Eye protection is recommended (eye glasses, safety glasses, etc.)
TKO will supply hard hats and safety glasses
