Restoring the Northern Cascade Head trail

July 15 at 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Free
Presented by TKO staff, learn about our efforts to reopen a 2 mile section of the OCT that has been closed for over a decade.

The Oregon Coast Trail is plagued by several gaps that force hikers to walk the shoulder of Hwy 101. The gap on the north side of Cascade Head is one such example. The trail was closed over ten years ago, due to landslides and downed trees. By partnering with the US Forest Service, TKO has been working at reestablishing the trail over the last 2 years. This presentation covers the inception, and current progress, of the Cascade Head project
