Oregon Coast Trail – Neahkahnie Gap Logout

Work Description: Rapid response logging of trees felled by recent wind event

Project Overview:

Recent wind storms have brought down several trees on the Neahkahnie Gap trail. We will hike in and remove them using cross cut saws

Hiking information:

We will hike in less than a mile to the work areas, with some elevation gain/loss.

What to bring:

  • Lunch
  • Plenty of water
  • Snacks
  • Gloves if you have them (loaner gloves available)

What to wear:

  • Boots (Please wear something sturdy that will protect your toes from sharp tools. No tennis shoes allowed!)
  • Work gloves (loaner gloves available)
  • Long sleeved shirts and pants.
  • Rain gear as appropriate for the weather
  • TKO will supply hard hats and safety glasses
