McIver State Park, located on the Clackamas River between Oregon City and Estacada, is a 950-acre park with camping, boating, hiking and horseback riding opportunities for its visitors. There are over 14 miles of trails for hikers and horseback riders in the park.
It is time for TKO to do annual maintenance tasks at Milo McIver State Park. This trail party will involve work on the Maple Ridge trail, a 2- mile loop trail where TKO volunteers have done work for the last 3 years. There are two “step-over” logs that need to be removed, leaves to clear from drainages, an area that needs tread improvement, and possibly a culvert to install. The trail is beautiful right now with fall color!
The trail climbs gently from the trailhead to the ridge and then is flat. Total hiking distance will not be more than 2 miles.
