We have been working on a major project to rebuild a bridge foundation using rock-filled gabions. Now that the project is completed, we need to do some restoration and finish work.
Work will include improving access to stairs near the bridge (the bridge was lifted several inches as part of this project); restoring the slope on the hillside that we have used as access for the project and doing some tread repair on the 1000′ of trail between the trailhead and the bridge. If time and weather permit, we can move to other unfinished projects on this trail.
Simultaneously, Pat will be taking a small group, including at least one B-level sawyer, to the Viewpoint Trail to fell some dead trees in that area of the park.
What to wear: Boots (tennis shoes are not allowed). Due to the wet conditions in the creek bed, rubber boots are permitted.
Long sleeved shirts recommended
Rain gear as appropriate for the weather
Eye protection is recommended (eye glasses, safety glasses, etc.)
TKO will supply hard hats and safety glasses
