McIver State Park, located on the Clackamas River between Oregon City and Estacada, is a 950-acre park with camping, boating, hiking and horseback riding opportunities for its visitors. There are over 14 miles of trails for hikers and horseback riders in the park.
Last fall and winter, TKO volunteers built a half mile of new trail connecting the older Vortex trail with the new Viewpoint trail. This trail is now in need of some brushing and touch-up, to remove vegetation from the tread surface that was not visible in the winter months.
The trail is flat and close to the gravel road, so very little hiking is necessary to get to the work areas. The total hiking distance will not be more than a mile.
