Gorge Trail #400: Eagle Creek to Tanner Creek – Logout and Scouting Trip

WORK DESCRIPTION: TRAIL Scouting and logout 

The purpose of this event is to continue to scout and logout  the Gorge trail #400 between Eagle Creek and Tanner Creek .  This section of trail is about 3 miles in length and has  been patrially scouted since the fire.

Time: We will meet at the Toothrock trailhead at 8:15 AM and figure out how to get to trail 400 where we will start our hike.. 

Hiking information: We will start hiking from Toothrock and head east toward Eagle Creek.  We will then return toothrock  parking lot.   Total distance will be about 6.0 miles with 3.0 miles of very rough terrain. 

What to expect: You should expect to hike through terrain that has not been reviewed since the fire.  We will be flagging the trail and making note of the projects in the various sections.   

What to bring: Bring your lunch and plenty of water.  Also bring good work gloves and supportive boots.

What to wear:

  • Boots (tennis shoes are not allowed)
  • Long sleeved shirts recommended
  • Rain gear as appropriate for the weather
  • Eye protection is recommended (eye glasses, safety glasses, etc.)
  • TKO will supply hard hats and safety glasses

Directions: Take I-84 E/US-30 East to exit 40 from I-84 E/US-30 E.  Drive straight ahead up hill to the Toothrock TH parking lot .
