Saturday, February 13, Oneonta trail Survey Work Party Come join us as the Trailkeepers of Oregon discuss the components of a
good trail survey hike. This work project will also include recording size &
location notes and photographing any fallen trees that are impacting the trail. This
information will be used to determine their impact on the trail and help determine whether
future trail projects are required. Learn how to use your eyes in a new way as you examine a beautiful
stretch of earth and yes, a nice stretch of water, too! Along the way you may find trail
concerns including outsloping landslides, developing berm, tread cupping, and/or
overflowing water drain features - in fact you may be asked to help correct these problems,
too! Get a sense of what an experienced Trailkeeper sees when they look at a
stretch of trail. It's a wonderful new way to enjoy your natural hiking trails. All experience levels are welcomed! TKO provides safety provisions,
tools, and your training. YOU provide your time and willingness : to be safe, to have
fun, and to do some good for the trails. To find out more and get yourself on the attendees list, email our
volunteer coordinator at joseph.ammons@trailkeepersoforegon.org. Thanks for supporting the Trailkeepers of Oregon and your trail
resources!

feel up a 2' by 1' hole in the trail, remove landslide debris and rocks
